Turning the Heat Up at Hansatech

Hansatech have completed a major upgrade of the heating and ventilation systems at their 20,00 sq ft factory in Poole.
Local firm PWB was commissioned to install the 6 new space heaters and improved ventilation systems. Rex Waygood, Hansatech's Technical manager said "The systems we have installed utilise a software controlled manager that allows each area of the factory to be monitored to optimise the energy used in heating. We have also taken advantage of the heat generated by the factory and recycled it to reduce the requirements for direct heating. The predicted energy savings are significant and should provide a 20% reduction in usage. The first months of operation included some very cold weather and the savings have been significant and in line with predictions."
